HANG UPS written by and starring Stephen Mangan

 
Stephen Mangan stars as Dr. Richard Pitt, whose personal life beginning to unravel after the collapse of his previous group therapy practice. He is no longer able to conduct the traditional 50-minute sessions most therapists have with their patients so has developed a new form of treatment – weekly quick-fire sessions with his patients which take place online, through a webcam.
 
Hang Ups (6 X 30) is a farcical, dark and perceptive comedy about a man trying to help other people keep it together while his life inexorably falls apart. Heavily improvised, each of Dr. Pitt’s therapy sessions are startling, unpredictable, discomfiting and hilarious. Adapted from the Emmy-nominated series Web Therapy created by Lisa Kudrow, Dan Bucatinsky and Don Roos.
 
It boasts a star-studded cast of cast of supporting actors who will appear in the Channel 4 series as patients or associates of Mangan’s main character. The essemble includes Katherine Parkinson, Celia Imrie, Jo Joyner, and David Bradley.
 
The series is produced by Slam Films. Kevin Loader and Stephen Mangan will serve as Executive Producers, Producer is Louise Delamere and the Director is Robert Delamere. It airs on the 8th August 2018 on Channel 4 at 10pm.
